Life is strange

I've finally finished playing this game, and OH my GOD, I haven't cried so much because of a game before! The game I'm talking about is

So now you might be very curious to why it made me cry... I'm not going to tell you that, because this game is just so interesting, I highly recommend playing it for yourself. The first episode is up for free, so you can have a taste before buying the whole thing.

When I first started up this game (long after most of my friends had already finished it, and the hype had calmed down a bit) I didn't really know what to expect. I had just finished Beyond Two Souls when I really sat down and played this game. I'd had some issues with it crashing every 2 chapters, so I put it away after finishing the 2 first chapters. I kinda regret doing so, but then again, the chapters last for 2-4 hours (depending on how much you explore), so it's actually not a short game either. And there are choices to make throughout the whole game, that can drastically change how the game feels etc, so it has replay value as well.

So what's it about you say?
Maxine Caulfield is a High school student that moved back to her hometown to study photography. She moved away from there as a kid, leaving her best friend Chloe behind. They didn't stay in touch much after she moved, so she haven't met her yet since she came back. One day at school she leaves after class to freshen up in the bathroom. She sees a blue butterfly landing on a bucket in the corner behind a stall, and decides she'll take a picture of it for a contest her school is holding. Then another student and some girl comes in, screaming at each other. She peeks past the edge of the stall she's hiding behind, and witness the male student pull a gun and shoots the other girl. She stretches out and screams, to try stop the attack, and finds out that she can rewind time.

Quite an interesting story so far, huh? This is only 10-15 minutes into the game, so there's A LOT more to it! So if this sounds interesting to you, go check it out!
This is another game that stole a spot in my heart, like Beyond Two Souls did. It was amazing, and made me feel a lot of things.

So here comes my personal opinions on the different aspects of the game:

- The story is well put together! The characters feels real, and the story is very good and well made. It also has some interesting twists in some parts of the game, and there's always something going on. I really enjoyed it!

- The graphics are ok. They are a bit more on the cartoony side, but I liked it. They used colors very well here, something I rarely notice in most games. It's almost more art than game to be honest. They made the moods and settings perfectly throughout the game. And I totally loved/crushed on Chloe xD

- The gameplay was basic and plain, but interesting. There wasn't much to the gameplay, but they made you use it in interesting was. I can't say too much about this, as the gameplay is mostly based on the power you have in the game, and I don't want to spoil anything x) Though there were probably more cutscenes than gameplay in this game!

I personally loved this game, and I know one of my friends did as well (and it's a dude). I think it's most appealing to girls, since we can relate to teenage girl life a lot easier. But guys can like it too! Either way, I'd like to recommend trying out the first episode, see if you like it! :) I had a blast playing through this!

If you've already played it, what did you think? Am I overhyping it like the rest? I try my best to be critical to games when I write the reviews, but if I love 'em, I just can't help myself xD

Until next time~!
