Had heard lots of talk about this game from friends and acquaintances, I found out that there was a demo of it on Steam. So I decided to try it. Went just fine, but my PC did not really have what's needed to run it. But I liked what I had tried:)
Put it in my wish list my Steam, and was hoping someone would be nice to me :) And there were someone who were ... But bought it for Xbox. It was my then-boyfriend who bought it for me, and bought it for xbox, because he had xbox, and my PC was too bad to drive it. So I had to play shooters on a console, which I really hated ... But I soon got used to it, and voila, I killed everything in my way through ^ ^ Was so excited that I run through the games several times.
But then we came to the day that it was over between me and him with the Xbox, so I had to move out, and had no chance to play the Bioshock games anymore. Then I decided to save some money and then buy the long time planed gamingpc:)
And offers on Steam is wonderful things:) One day I had the money both games were on sale on Steam! And I had got the new gamingpc of mine too, so I bought both games. And then I could play my games again:)
But that was how I started playing Bioshock. Then just write a little about it and, perhaps? :) I'll try to not spoil too much ... x)
The action takes place in a city under the sea, called "Rapture". At the beginning of the game you are introduced to the city by its "creator", Andrew Ryan. When the submarine thing you will be transported to reach the inside of the city, you must fight your way through it with a walkie-talkie, where one named Atlas will help you. He gives you hints on what to do through almost the entire game until the very last end. After a while he tells you about Plasmids (special abilities you can use with one hand. F.eks. fire, lightning, telekinesis, etc.), Little Sisters and Big Daddies. Big daddies protects the tiny Little Sisters, while they reap something called "Adam". This is a type of "life energy" or something, which all the crazy people you have to fight against in Rapture wants. So what you must do is basicly in this game is to fight against bad people, kill the Big Daddies to get Adam from Little Sisters (which is not necessary unless you want lots of skills ^ ^), use weapons and Plasmids for small tasks here and there, and kill the last boss:)
~ Shortly what I think about the game:
- Good story. I was very fascinated by what had happened with the the place where the plot of the game was. Rapture, the great city under the sea, with so many dark stories waiting. And the darkest of all: who Atlas really was.
- Interesting characters. Yes, there were some characters that fascinated me. As such, Dr. Steinman, Sander Cohen and Tenenbaum. Dr. Steinman, who tried to operate to find the perfect beauty, Sander Cohen, who made art of living people, and Tenenbaum who guarded the "sweet" tiny little sisters.
- Beautiful soundtracks. That's what I like about the game. Did not think I liked jazz, but there I was totally wrong. The music that was in the Bioshock games were loveable. I know some of the songs from the first game by heart:)
- Okay graphics. The graphics were nice, but the shadows and such was a bit special. Not that I cared, because the story, the music and the gameplay was so good. A little edgy here and there. But that said, the rest were covering it. :)
- Fun playing. The controls were simple and easy to get used to. Easy to control the character you played as and easy to get around in the game. only thing I struggled with was about to switch from Plasmids to weapons (and the other way). x) But overall it was great. ^ ^
So what I will say to you who read this and think the game sounds interesting; PLAY IT! : D <3
But it was everything for now. Sorry I took so long for this, but I have a life with lots of friends, gaming, boyfriend outside the PC;)
So ... Cya next time, BIATCHES! <3
