Portal 1

Yes, folks.
Today I write about Portal, which I got for a few days ago, and as I rounded the next day. Took me 3 hours:)

An image from the game where someone has set up two portals so you can see yourself :)

Had heard a lot about the game from before, and put it in my wishlist on Steam. And one day someone suddenly messaged me on Steam, "Hey, you've got Portal from me. Had a spare, and you were the only one in the Steam Friends list who had it in your wish list:)". I thanked him a lot, and was so happy :D Thanks for your unconscious support to my blog;)
The game was pretty confusing at first, but that's not surprising. You start in a cell and a video camera talking to you. You'll know you're a test subject in some techno logistical research. After a while you get your Portalgun, and get gradually more difficult tasks as you pass the 19 platforms with challenges.I won't say anything more, because you will find out for yourself ^ ^

Not so much to write about really, without any spoiler. But the game is straightforward puzzle where you use portals to solve puzzles. Simple and easy:)

So it was my opinion about the game, then.

- Good graphics, to be a simple game that is not based on so very much.

- Fun to play, even if I fail a lot x) I love challenges in terms of logical tasks, and in this game you have to use your brain a bit, which I like ^ ^ Was some funny comments and stuff here and there which made the game fun:)
Me playing Portal :)

Not a lot of opinions about it, other than that it was fun and I enjoyed the game:)

THE CAKE IS A LIE!

But it was everything for now. Will now just wait until Portal 2 is finished downloading on Steam, so it'll probably be a post about it too:)

See ya next time! ;)

Bioshock 1

Since there are 2 slightly different storylines in the two games that have come out, I will write about one of the time:) So this is the first Bioshock game.

Had heard lots of talk about this game from friends and acquaintances, I found out that there was a demo of it on Steam. So I decided to try it. Went just fine, but my PC did not really have what's needed to run it. But I liked what I had tried:)

Put it in my wish list my Steam, and was hoping someone would be nice to me :) And there were someone who were ... But bought it for Xbox. It was my then-boyfriend who bought it for me, and bought it for xbox, because he had xbox, and my PC was too bad to drive it. So I had to play shooters on a console, which I really hated ... But I soon got used to it, and voila, I killed everything in my way through ^ ^ Was so excited that I run through the games several times.

But then we came to the day that it was over between me and him with the Xbox, so I had to move out, and had no chance to play the Bioshock games anymore. Then I decided to save some money and then buy the long time planed gamingpc:)

And offers on Steam is wonderful things:) One day I had the money both games were on sale on Steam! And I had got the new gamingpc of mine too, so I bought both games. And then I could play my games again:)

But that was how I started playing Bioshock. Then just write a little about it and, perhaps? :) I'll try to not spoil too much ... x)

The action takes place in a city under the sea, called "Rapture". At the beginning of the game you are introduced to the city by its "creator", Andrew Ryan. When the submarine thing you will be transported to reach the inside of the city, you must fight your way through it with a walkie-talkie, where one named Atlas will help you. He gives you hints on what to do through almost the entire game until the very last end. After a while he tells you about Plasmids (special abilities you can use with one hand. F.eks. fire, lightning, telekinesis, etc.), Little Sisters and Big Daddies. Big daddies protects the tiny Little Sisters, while they reap something called "Adam". This is a type of "life energy" or something, which all the crazy people you have to fight against in Rapture wants. So what you must do is basicly in this game is to fight against bad people, kill the Big Daddies to get Adam from Little Sisters (which is not necessary unless you want lots of skills ^ ^), use weapons and Plasmids for small tasks here and there, and kill the last boss:)

~ Shortly what I think about the game:

- Good story. I was very fascinated by what had happened with the the place where the plot of the game was. Rapture, the great city under the sea, with so many dark stories waiting. And the darkest of all: who Atlas really was.

- Interesting characters. Yes, there were some characters that fascinated me. As such, Dr. Steinman, Sander Cohen and Tenenbaum. Dr. Steinman, who tried to operate to find the perfect beauty, Sander Cohen, who made art of living people, and Tenenbaum who guarded the "sweet" tiny little sisters.

- Beautiful soundtracks. That's what I like about the game. Did not think I liked jazz, but there I was totally wrong. The music that was in the Bioshock games were loveable. I know some of the songs from the first game by heart:)

- Okay graphics. The graphics were nice, but the shadows and such was a bit special. Not that I cared, because the story, the music and the gameplay was so good. A little edgy here and there. But that said, the rest were covering it. :)

- Fun playing. The controls were simple and easy to get used to. Easy to control the character you played as and easy to get around in the game. only thing I struggled with was about to switch from Plasmids to weapons (and the other way). x) But overall it was great. ^ ^

So what I will say to you who read this and think the game sounds interesting; PLAY IT! : D <3
But it was everything for now. Sorry I took so long for this, but I have a life with lots of friends, gaming, boyfriend outside the PC;)
So ... Cya next time, BIATCHES! <3

World of Warcraft

YES! Now I'll write a post about my opinions about World of Warcraft. And this is not going to be pretty, unfortunately.

Most of my friends already know that I am not so VERY excited about WoW, but it's probably very few who know WHY. And many do not think that I have tried it at all. BUT I have, actually:) And it was far from my taste.

I was friendrequested by my then-boyfriend, and started as a night elf rouge. It was fun, until he and his friend ran away from me. So when I was alone in the world, with no idea what I should do. So I ended up killing some monsters, levle, and do quests. Levlet up to around level 7 after 2 hours or something like that. So I gave up for the day.

The next day I tried again to motivate myself to play more of this game. Did not that much better ... Levled up to between 10 and 15 somewhere. Didn't come any further, and further I'll never care to go.
It was simply boring. Gore! And the graphics are not the best either. Do not pay 60 NOK per month for a game that I can find a better free version of.

But it's not just the game that is the problem. It is what it does to people I respond to. Nothing bad against my x's or something, but he is a fine example. Mentions no name. But when he played the game he apparently forgot the world around him. Easily got more irritated than usual. And went crazy on the game sometimes. And when he wasn't on the PC, he talked of nothing else than the game. Especially when the latest update to come out; Cataclysm. Then he was not talking about anything else. He had previously been complaining that I talked a lot about Left 4 Dead, but that was nothing compared to how much he talked about that game. And when I started to complain about WoW, then I got the wave of people who began to complain about me complaining. I just spoke up and said I was tired ... Tired of all the talk about WoW, since I lived with someone who played it almost constantly. No wonder I get tired, y'know.

SO! Brief summation of what I think after trying a little:

- Poor graphics. I know it's to give the feeling of the good old Warcraft games, but ... This isn't Warcraft. It's World of Warcraft. SHOULD been some upgrades since then, in my opinion.I'm a graphics Freek.

- Costs alot, really. Because there are free games with better graphics, more anime style, which I like, so I choose those, because it suits me better. There we have Maple Story and Luna Online (which now apparently has changed its name to Luna Pluss). And I'm poor, so ... Yes ...

- Some people who playes it become... Weird ... I really don't like that part. It's okay that this is a own, big world and all that, but it is not the REAL world. Far from it. So to run to compare things in the game with things in real life is a bit wrong. And they react to people doing this and that in the game, and then rage about it, is not good. It's just a game ...

I know some will think something like, "You are the one who should talk about raging at games?", "You have not played the bulk of this game that you should write something negative, since you have not come to the best parts ", etc. I have heard the comments a hundred times already, so you do not need post them here ^ ^ I know I often rage on a game. But there are shooters. WoW is more a strategy game. You press the buttons in the correct order, and the right pace. The shooter is required responsiveness. Proper quick response as well, usually. Must be quick on the trigger, y'know ;)
But it was all I could write about this game, over to the next! :)

See ya next time, mathafackazz! <3

Left 4 dead

Today I'll write some opinions and stuff about my first FPS-game, Left 4 Dead!
This game is pretty special for me. Not only because it was the game that made me go in to be a gamer chick, but also because I have met so many wonderful people through it. Among them Patrik, whom I met shortly after I bought the game and started playing. After that I talked with him for almost 2 years through skype, and now I'm together with him:) Amazing what can happen thanks to games ...
Anyways. Left 4 Dead was my first FPS-game, and I still remember the first time I tried it. I must admit that I am a bad loser, and before I hated to die in games. So the first time I tried it, I was shaking like a leaf. Was afraid I would die, and be bad in the game, since my then-boyfriend was sitting right next to me. x) But it was actually not so bad, and I was hooked :p

 Started with a cracked
version of the game, and after half a year of "training", I bought the game on Steam:) About one months later, I met Patrick.
And then came the Left 4 Dead 2. After my good experiences with the first game, I pre-ordered the 2nd game. It was very much talking and stuff about extras and stuff if you pre-ordered. None of the things they promised was really held! x) We who pre-ordered should be the only ones who could use the baseball bat, and play the demo before anyone else ... But it did not x)
Left 4 Dead 2 was cool, until I got bored and went back to the 1st game again. Vocalize commands FTW!
But in that period I played a lot of the 2nd game, I met the 2nd good friend I have now, Stian! He only had L4D2, poor thing. Played some with him after I met him. And then Patrik and Stian got introduced to each other:) And we had a team! Played some addon-campaigns together. And satt on skype and messed around. Yelling and screaming. x)
Began to talk more outside of gaming, and got to know each other better and became good friends:)

My opinions about the game(s)?
This has been one of my most favored game. Good to play if I want get out some aggression. But don't need to be aggressive to play it x) Have learned a little about guns and stuff, and got a little more interest in it too:) And there are some weapons to choose from and so. Especially in the 2nd game.
My favorite weapons are the auto shotgun, granade launcher, and what the in-game-characters calls the Magnum / Desert Eagle. And favorite character is, of course, Louis, with its fabulous screams. : D <3
The gameplay is easy, simple controls and okay graphics. The 2nd game had of course slightly better graphics, but the weapons was too shiny in the game ... "OH! Shiny shotguns!" ~
The fact that there are special zombies are also nice and you have some extra challenges. :) Personally I hate tanks and love witches <3 Smokers and hunters, and chargers and jockeys in the 2nd game, are dangerous when you're alone. And boomers and spitters are just annoying.

This was what I had on Left 4 Dead. Thanks to this game, I became a gamer chick, and began to play lots of games:)
That's it! See ya next time!
